Azigiza He is known to have composed an energized gospel track with a sampling beat taken from reggae track masters; Chaka Demus and Pliers's award-winning hit song "Murder She Wrote". He has been hailed as the Ghanaian version of Kirk Franklin because he gets cranky and funky in Christ when on stage. The same Kirk Franklin at an event was so impressed with his performance that he asked whether he was from Ghana.
He is loved by churches in the Caribbean whenever he performs there as they have never seen a Ghanaian Gospel/Reggae artiste so blessed, energized and gifted who has taken Gospel music fused with funk and reggae to a level of excellence.
Ghana web caught up with "Zigzag" who is in the USA promoting his latest CD, "A New Day" as he was part of the fundraising ceremony of the world renowned Ebenezer World Outreach in Edison, New Jersey. Azigiza Jnr sang some tracks from his latest masterpiece, "A NEW DAY". The church went "ballistics" when they heard the new tracks. He was on fire and dynamite as always.
He told the audience that back in the days when he was a child, he thought gospel music and church were boring now he gets funky in Christ all the time promoting God's message of life in abundance through music. His performance impressed the young and God's anointed, Prophet Edmund Nana Yaw Obeng, who has invited him to come to his base in Holland for a performance. Ghanaians in Holland should definitely be ready for this one.
Azigiza Jnr's gospel show in Ghana is doing great and has seen some well-known preachers including Archbishop Duncan Williams featured.
"A New Day" for all Gospel/Reggae fans worldwide is definitely a great CD worth having a spot for your CD library and also value for your money.

Power and might be onto Azigiza Jnr for taking Gospel music to the world stage. Ghanaians are proud of him for promoting Gospel music in a funky and not boring way to all races just as Kirk Franklin, John Pee Kee, Fred Hammond and others are doing.
