Thirty-Eight (38) year old Ghanaian musician Bak Tye (Baka Tee) who was one of the early superstars of the hiplife music genres has revealed that bad company and the death of his parents are to blame for his current state.

Bak Tye who looks emaciated admits times are hard for him but denies claims he is on drugs which is the major reason for his current predicament when he appeared on the Starr Drive hosted by Giovani Caleb.

Recounting his peak days, he said current President of Liberia George Tawlon Manneh Oppong Ousman Weah, then best footballer of the world invited Samini, Madfish and him to Liberia to perform where they were paid well.

He, however, disclosed that times have changed cautioning his colleagues who are stars now that they will not reign forever and need to tread cautiously.

“Time changes, sometimes you go wrong and try to come back on track. You pass through so many things as stages….a lot of issues boss. They cannot be on top forever. I am too much crazy right now the bad company and bad business. Sometimes when you become a star, it gets into your head and if you don’t take care they will come at you. You have to be careful if you are at the top. We need management and bad management counts”, he observed.
