Ghana’s most popular sound engineer cum producer and hip-pop artiste Albert Ayeh Hanson known in the showbiz industry as Ball J has ranked boasted and ranked himself high, saying he will murder Nigerian rapper M I Abaga within a second.

Speaking in an interview on “Showbiz Agenda” on Zylofon FM 102.1, he described M I as a good writer that he even gets inspiration from but he ( Ball J) is the hardest. “I’m doing hip-pop because I want to save Ghana. You asking that question is like sarcastic! I will murder M I and he knows. The difference between him and Sarkodie is the language. Sarkodie is good in Twi but he can’t be compared to M I when it comes to English. Sarkodie will murder him in Twi and call Ball J to come and murder him in English. M I is a good writer that my manager plays his songs and I even take inspiration from him but I’m the hardest. I don’t joke! When it comes to freestyle, I will murder him within a second and of the top, I can just look at M I and murder him” he claimed.

According to Ball J, hip-pop is so big in Ghana but has been rebranded to hiplife due to the language barrier. He further recounted his downfall in the music industry, saying he chose to tell his story through hip-pop.

According to him, his ” I am that I am” song was used to testify the existence of God after his downfalls in the music industry.

“I chose to tell my story through hip-pop after my downfall. I got recognition and one-day I was just walking and my name went off! It is part of the story because every star has ups and downs. I was down and sick and later I discovered there was Kwame beats, Kojo beats and Ama beats and I said eii after the Ball J beats, there are a lot of beats? So I produced the Pooley swag in 2015 and it got a hit again. I released the I am that I am to show that God exists after my downfall” he explained.

Talking about his involvement in the YOLO TV series cast, he stressed out that he needed money to push his music.

He further revealed his readiness and preparedness to accept a role in a movie when approached by movie directors.

“With the YOLO, we have finished with the series and I’m back to do music. I needed money to push my works and the YOLO was giving me some great money. I will accept roles in a movie if the director can pay. I looked up to Iddrisu Elba so if you want that kind of style, you pay and I will come and do it for you” he said.

In addition to this, he disclosed to the host Sammy Flex that he has been sending beats via email to Nigerian superstars Wizkid and Patoranking.

Explaining further about the fee he charges for those beats, he said Nigerians pay huge monies for businesses compared to Ghanaians. Ball J disclosed his readiness to send beats via email to Ghanaian acts as he is done with the shooting of the YOLO series.

Talking about his new deal with Platinum records and seven digits studios, this is what he said: “Ghanaian media will take your monies and wouldn’t play your songs. Only the few, the Sammy Flex and others will play. Others will see you and be like Ball J! I will play your song tomorrow so I wanted someone who has millions of dollars and my friend here, owns The Seven Digits studios and he is also a blogger who showed my song to them and they were like wow! Ball J, this is your song and you are in Africa? And I told them I’m not coming to do your music but to face you out there. They are big and connected to Master P. I have spoken to big artists that I wouldn’t love to mention names” Ball J added.
