Bastero & Rudebwoy Ranking smoke peace pipe

Bastero Bastero

Ghanaian Dancehall Act, Bastero, is the latest to push for a peace deal between himself and his fellow Dancehall act, Rudebwoy Ranking — the two artistes and their fans have in the past months had very heated exchanges which allegedly resulted in some physical encounters among their fans.

Though the issue has thawed down a bit, there was still some level of tension between the 2 camps until Bastero got on Metro TV on Wednesday, June 15 to broker the peace deal.

Mr. M-Q-Ree, host of the #PlaylistLive show threw a challenge to Bastero LIVE on set; he asked Bastero to pick one video from Gyptian or Stonebwoy or Rudebwoy Ranking. Bastero without doubt opted for Rudebwoy Ranking’s video.

“Gyptian is already there. No disrespect to Stonebwoy, but he’s already there. Large respect to Stonebwoy and BhimNation. Large up both artistes but you know, Rudebwoy Ranking is now coming up to hit mainstream, just like me. I feel we the upcoming ones need a lot more slots to get there as well. Rudebwoy Ranking is a brother and we are all from the slum community so I want him up there”, Bastero explained.

Bastero was on interview to promote his new video for a hot new single he did called “Biegya”. He rates as one of the upcoming acts with a very huge slum following (as well as Rudebwoy Ranking); you can’t play gigs in those areas without him, Rudebwoy Ranking and Bastero on bill.

Bastero is signed to Finish Point Records, managed by Emmanuel Ocansey. He has rocked big outdoor stages like Stonebwoy’s #BhimNationConcert in May 2015 and Samini’s #Saminifest2015 concert at Trade Fair.
