Ghanaian gospel singer Nicholas Omane Acheampong says he strongly believes that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, if given the opportunity to lead Ghana, would complete the National Cathedral and improve the country.
According to him, despite Dr. Bawumia being a devout Muslim, he firmly believes that if elected, the Vice President will be the one to construct and finish the National Cathedral.
He mentioned that Dr. Bawumia's humble nature would earn him favor from God to complete the structure and transform Ghana for the better.
“I can feel within my spirit that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will come and finish the National Cathedral to the astonishment of everybody. He will complete the National Cathedral and commission it for use before everyone. The Vice President is filled with humility. Even the Qur'an and Bible say that God elevates the humble and humbles a prideful person, irrespective of their religious background,” the singer said in a video published on X, formerly Twitter.
He also stated that electing Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the President of Ghana would demonstrate that Ghanaians are tolerant of different religions.
He said, "The majority of Ghanaians are either Christians or Muslims, and historically the country has been led by Christians. It is time we choose a Muslim leader to show that we truly embrace religious diversity."
