The NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ketu North Constituency, Edem Agbana, has called on George Quaye to openly declare his political allegiance instead of subtly expressing sympathy for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) through social media posts.

Agbana's remarks were prompted by George Quaye's recent Facebook post admiring a photograph of NPP leaders, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) at the latter's unveiling ceremony in Kumasi.

In the post, George Quaye praised the aesthetic qualities of the photograph, focusing on the composition and artistic merit.

“Doesn’t always have to be politics. Doesn’t always have to be about umbrellas, elephants, butterflies or any other… Sometimes it’s just to appreciate the art… Honestly, I think this picture is beautiful! If you know the photographer who took this, please tag him/her. Let’s celebrate him/her,” George Quaye's post read.

Agbana, perceiving Quaye's admiration as tacit support for the NPP, urged him to be forthright about his political affiliations.

He commented on Quaye's post, stating, "Stop hiding behind these feeble attempts to appear neutral while subtly pushing partisan political agenda. Be a man, you have the right to make a choice. Your pretence and cowardly approach is ridiculous. Man up and join the politics."

As of now, George Quaye has not responded to Edem Agbana's call.
