Among bikers in Ghana, she is popularly known for her flair in doing what she loves doing the most, motorbike riding.

She is known as Akua Gaddafi, a name embossed on the customised number plate on her giant motorbike called Johnny Love, a machine bought by her husband.

In 2016, she was among the Ghanaian policewomen riders who stole the show during the Independence Parade held at the Independence Square on March 6.

Her picture went viral on social media and trended for some time due to her smart turnout and confidence on her motorbike.

Last Sunday, November 17, at the Achimota Mall, most bikers invaded the place to display their machines and show off their skills.

Ghanaweb spotted her among the many and had a short conversation with her.

Akua Gaddafi told Ghanaweb, that the perception most Ghanaian ladies think riding is one of the difficult skills to do, is wrong. "People think riding is very scary. but it's not."

She compared riding to pregnancy labour, "What I advise my fellow ladies is ...there's nothing on this world that is easy. Labour is one of the painful thing on this earth, yet people are giving birth to 4, 5, thereabout".

According to Akua Gaddafi, "So, it's about how you control the machine between your thighs, don't let the machine control you. It's like driving a car, take fear out. focus on whatever you are doing and you will achieve your aim".

She added that as a police officer with the Criminal Investigation Department, she takes riding as her hobby.

"To me, it's my passion and my husband supports me, anytime I tell him, I'm going somewhere with the bike. He got me this bike as well."
