Ghanaian songstress, Rebecca Akosua Acheampong, popularly known as Becca, has said she is hoping for the opportunity to have a collaboration with renowned American singer, songwriter and Actress Beyonce.
The Afrobeat songstress who recently signed on to a new record label – Kolophonic told TV3 in an interview that she is eyeing to have more collaborations with musicians outside the African continent.
According to her, she would be elated to have a collaboration with Beyonce because of her woman power.
"Definitely, there are a few people I am looking at working with. We've been in touch with a few of them. And also because I am about to sign onto a new label as well and they are from England, South Africa so we are definitely working on a few artistes.
“I wish I could do something with Sam Smith or Ed Sheeran because they are my favourites right now. But if it's supposed to be a woman, I am looking for Beyonce because she's got the woman power definitely," Becca said.
Becca has already had collaborations with Nigeria's MI, Ice Prince, and Uhuru of ‘Khona’ fame.
