Bee sting labourer to death

Cape Coast, Aug. 8, GNA - Kwesi Essuon, a 50-year-old labourer from Wenyiato, a Cape Coast suburb, was on Tuesday stung to death by bees, while he and other labourers were assisting a Surveyor, at Ohemenkrom, also in the Municipality.

Narrating the incident to the GNA at Cape Coast on Friday, the Surveyor, Mr Poku Aikins, said Essuon and two others were helping him survey a land in the area, when the bees suddenly attacked.

He said they all ran for their lives, but "as if Essuon was destined to die", the buzzing insects, swarmed on him, and stung him, killing him instantly.

Essuon has since been buried.
