Seasoned actress Beverly Afaglo has voiced her concerns about the tendency of movie producers and directors to overlook veteran actors in their projects.
In a candid Instagram post, she lamented that over eighty percent of actors who were once prominent in the industry are no longer receiving roles, despite still being active.
"How many of the old faces do you producers and directors cast anyway? 80% ain’t working. What is going on? Shoutout to all the producers holding us down. The industry needs you. Keep going," her Instagram post read.
Reflecting on her own experiences, Beverly revealed that she has only been featured in two movies this year.
She appealed to movie producers to consider casting her in new film projects, expressing her frustration and eagerness to work.
"I think I am getting bored. I have done only two productions this whole year: ‘Yaa Basabasa’ on YouTube and one movie produced by Steve Ekeso. Where are the producers and directors? Forgotten about me? I’m a versatile actor oo. I can do it all. Or you say you want new faces? Or you can’t pay me? Try me," she wrote.
In addition to her acting career, Beverly Afaglo runs several personal businesses. On April 5, 2024, she launched her newest venture, Traffic Shawarma.
Beverly Afaglo has starred in numerous popular movies, including ‘Return of Beyonce’, ‘Crime to Christ’, ‘Never Again’, ‘Single Six’, ‘I Love You But’, ‘The King’s Bride’, and many others.
