Former Miss Ghana, Stephanie Karikari has launched a peace campaign dubbed #ISpeakForPeace ahead of the 2016 polls.

The 2010 winner for the prestigious beauty pageant outdoored the peace campaign on Thursday, November 3 in Accra to kick off the journey to promote peace before, during and after the December 7 election. Miss Karikari speaking at the event disclosed that she used three months to record the campaign messages of prominent personalities in the country.

She said the task to record the peace messages was not easy but she was determined to embark on the exercise since election is few days away. Stephanie Karikari at the event launched her campaign videos, which had words from musicians, bloggers, businessmen, politicians and other renowned Ghanaians.

Popular among the personalities who had peace messages for Ghanaians captured on tape included Jon Benjamin, Kofi Amoabeng, Bola Ray, KOD, Giovanni Caleb, Chief Dele Momodu, Efya, Nana Aba Namoah, Mark Okreku Mantey, Sandra Ankobiah, Becca, Jay Foley, Doreen Andoh, Henry Adofo and many others.

The #ISpeakForPeace campaign according to Stephanie is a self-financed project. She continued to say that she will not accept a penny from any political party should they approach to help her campaign.

Present at the launch of the #ISpeakFoPeace campaign were UT Boss, Kofi Amoabeng, actress Bibi Bright, Irene Logan, actor Henry Adofo and many others.
