Black Prophet drops fifth album on Sept.16

Ghanaian Reggae star Kenneth Wilberforce Zonto Bossman, more commonly known as Black Prophet, is set to release his latest album Stories of Life this month.

Prophet, 39, began a career in music with the Ola Williams Band, and then going on to record his 1998 debut No Pain No Gain. He followed it up with Legal Stranger (2003), Masses (2009), and Tribulations (2010).

Collaborating with such greats as Tarrus Riley and Duane Stephenson, Black Prophet (specifically with this album) eyes the prestigious Grammy Awards; “I will put African Roots Rock Reggae on the musical map and bring a Grammy back to Ghana“, he posts on Facebook recently.

Entirely recorded in Jamaica over two years, Stories of Life was produced by the highly respected Dean Fraser, with whom he also collaborated on Tribulations.

In the past, he has also been associated with Rita Marley, Pliers, Don Carlos, Yellowman, Steel Pulse, Lucky Dube, Alpha Blondy, Buju Banton and Dean Fraser, and Capleton.
