Years have passed by, but a few names have still stood tall when the history was being written in 2001. On the hiplife front, the names that really mattered in popular music were a few good ones like Obrafour, Tic Tac, Reggie Rockstone, Slim Busterr, VIP, Deeba, Buk Bak but one artiste whose song was a good hit and noted among the youth was Araz with the song, ?Laimomo?.
After blazing the Ghanaian music scene in 2001, Araz has thought it wise to bring back the remix version of ?Laimomo? just because a lot of people (fans especially) wanted it.
With no doubt 2001 was Araz biggest year for sometime, after a flop album tilted ?Enye Me?, two years ago under Joma Records.
Araz has come out again for the third time with an album, which is set to tank him to many places. This album Araz believes is a good one and has delivered one of his best works up to date, the album ?Laimomo?.
With the release of the latest album, it has brought the one-time high-riding hiplife artiste back to the A-list fold, reeling out a handful of hit singles including ?Laimomo? remix (featuring 2 Tee), ?Amanone Do? (featuring David), ?Odo Nsem? (Kwabena Kwabena) and ?Anti Yaaba? (featuring Kpetekple). You won?t listen to a song of him alone. He has featured Agadem, Wonidim, Toxic and Kasachere on the other four tracks.
Araz registered his name on the music scene by participating in entertainment shows like Fun World, Kiddafest and more not only because he was the entertainment prefect for Odorgonno Secondary School but he knew what he wanted to be.
Araz bounced onto the game as the first artiste whose demo in Ga was played on radio at Groove FM on a show hosted by Michael Smith. The result was ?Sere?, which had the hit song ?Laimomo? being produced by Hush Hush Studios.
Araz, who has really come back good this time, had to stay back and hustle for his third because of the way payola crippled his second album.
His first album did fairly well outside of Ghana and was used as a sound track to a movie titled ?Blood Street? in the states.
His latest album was engineered and mixed by Ubert and Cyrus. Lucky Sounds is the distribution house for the album. For more information on the album please call 233 24 343 8497.
Araz has already started igniting much attention on the Ghanaian music scene, He ended by saying ?Laimomo? is back for the second time.
