Bobie Ansah’s Bridge 96.9 FM takes off

A new radio station, Bridge FM, located at Atimpoku, near Akosombo in the Eastern Region, has commenced its test transmission which will last for a month.

Owned by Kwabena Bobie Ansah’s KBA Multimedia, publishers of The Clock, Neighbourhood and Volta Gist newspapers, the station would also provide listeners with good programmes such as sports, politics, health, education as well as promoting the work of musicians and churches in Ghana.

He revealed that the station would also provide a 24-hour service to its listeners.

“The transmitters transmit superbly audio processes, true CD quality stereo signals. We also have 10 kilowatts stand-by generator. Bridge 96.9 FM has three well-equipped broadcast studios, built to the highest standard using state of the art equipment. They are on– air–live studio, reproduction studio, discussion/news studio,” he told BEATWAVES.

He, however, disclosed that Bridge FM signals can be received by audience in Eastern Region, part of Volta Region and part of Tema.

“Our vision is to give our listeners quality news, information and music to entertainment our listeners.

Nana Kwabena Bobie Ansah was the former host of Asempa FM’s flagship political programme, ‘Ekosi Sen’ and ‘Siniipi’.

Bobie is a radio veteran whose career covers news reporting, presenting music and religious shows with stations as varied as Mighty FM, Meridian FM, Luv FM and Hello FM.

He is one of the most strident interviewers with a penchant for ferreting out information in a direct approach which endears him to his audience.
