Bola Ray, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), Berla Mundi, Jon Germain, Nana Aba Anamoah, Kafui Dey and a host of others will join the John Agyekum Kufuor Foundation health walk on Saturday, June 16, 2018.
Aas part of activities to raise a fund of Ghc80 million to sustain the JAK Foundation, the walk is expected to start from the Aviation Social Centre at 6am through the following route: From Aviation Social Centre turn right towards El-Wak ; at El-Wak intersection turn towards the 37 hospital ;at 37 hospital intersection turn right onto Liberation Road, pass the Accra Mall towards Legon. We will make a U-turn at the traffic lights at Shiashi and follow the same route back to the Aviation Social Center.
In addition to health walk, there will also be a float with a number of celebrated Ghanaian artistes who will be performing at the Aviation Social Centre after the walk.
Funds raised from the campaign will be used to run foundation’s programmes – including the Kufuor Scholars Programme, Kufuor Young Entrepreneurs Network, Annual Lecture Series on Governance and Development, the Kufuor Elections Observers Group, and the Kufuor Prize for Best Community Leadership.
The year-long fundraising campaign on the theme ‘80 for 80’ was launched to coincide with the 80th birthday of former president John Agyekum Kufour, who shares the vision of peaceful, well-governed and economically sustainable societies across Africa.
