Borax There are whole bunch of crews, young and old, upset because they didn?t get a shot to shine. As everyone should know, hiplife is a tough market to break into. For Ghanaian born Borax, he has made his way through into the hiplife industry and is making it big.
On 1st July 2004 the tremendous artiste had a show in Sunyani which was organised and put together by Maputo Records. Before the show, Borax was interviewed on Sky FM in Sunyani concerning the programme, his album and basically something about himself.
Sunyani is a town that is down with songs of Borax therefore when he came on stage to perform his marvelous tracks like Eye Onoaa, Nana Yaa, Asee Ho, Onko Na Menko, Pantoma, Odo Bewu Dee and others, the crowd could not resist but jump at any chance to throw their hands in the air.
The ladies were screaming and swooning just to take a glimpse of him. He performed on stage for one hour. Wow that is splendid. Supporting artistes on the bill were the prolific hiplife artiste by name Bandanna, Olunguase and Abusuafoo. The show was something else. I have never witnessed a show like this before. The response was indeed great.
It is another mild-meltingly hot day in Berekum. Borax arrives in Berekum with the organisers and the supporting artistes for another show which is scheduled to take place in the next two days. When Borax arrived, the kids went berserk.
He gets off the bus flanked by his omnipresent and massive bodyguard and organisers of the show. Borax runs over to shake hands with the line of fans waiting to see him perform. It got to a time that he had to get inside for security reasons because the crowd was uncontrollable. The crowd was still yearning to see him. A young Borax fanatic yelled Borax! Borax!
Borax was obviously thrilled to have such a young fan. He therefore had to ask for a cordless microphone in order for him to talk to the crowd outside anxiously waiting to see him to calm down and wait till evening.
In the evening, Borax gave out his best to the audience who were willing to see him perform. Ghanaian celebrity by name Borax wooed the ladies in black and white attire and sang his wonderful and tremendous tracks like Odo Bewu Dee, Eye Onoa, Asee Ho, Nana Yaa, Pantoma and others.
As I stepped out on the street after the show, still reeling fom the intoxicating sounds, I thought I heard Borax start up an encore inside. But as I turned around, it was merely someone?s radio playing a song of Borax.
After gaining momentum with his hit album ?Asee Ho?, Borax is again ruling the airwaves with his ?Odo Bewu Dee? album and does well whenever he performs at shows.
Zacchaeus There are some hidden jewels. Be patient because Ghana Music.Com is about to spit it out.
