Akyem Swedru (E/R), Dec. 15, GNA - A fight over an 18- year-old girl at Ofosukrom in the Birim South District last Sunday resulted in the stabbing to death of Alex Kissiedu, an 18-year-old farmer. Isaac Boakye, an 18-year-old driver who was alleged to have stabbed Kissiedu to death and his accomplice, Michael Opoku had been placed in police cells at Akyem Swedru pending further investigations.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mr Paul Aduhene, Akyem Swedru District Police Officer told the Ghana News Agency that there was a funeral at Ofosukrom on Sunday, which attracted the victim and the suspects.

He said at about 2100 hours, Boakye met Adwoa Djan, an 18- year-old girl at the funeral grounds and bought her a bottle of Malta Guinness. A few minutes later, Boakye was said to have seen Adwoa dancing with the deceased and sent someone to go and bring her back but she allegedly turned down the invitation.
