Female gospel musician Mary Agyemang has asked event goers who will attend her “Change Over” album launch on Sunday, October 23 at Yegoala Hotel in Kumasi to come along with kalyppo.
The musician known for her hit song “Mprenpren Nyame” in an interview with Tony Best on Solid FM in Kumasi Saturday afternoon explained why the audience should come along with the drink which got many drinking when Nana Addo was captured sipping it in a car.
Giving reasons for the request of Kalyppo at the album launch, she said “Change over which is the hit song from the album wasn’t part when I was done with the full album. I finished all the works on the album before this particular song came in mind so it means God has a purpose for everyone. Change Over is very sweet not bitter same as the kalyppo drink”.
The musician who was reported to have endorsed the leading opposition party, NPP after she performed at Lucky Mensah’s NPP campaign tour launch in Kumasi retreated on the show that she has not sold the “Change Over” song to NPP.
“Change Over will certainly be someone’s wish so if you think you need it, you have every right to take it but before that, you need to see management team. If they think through it and they conclude that we allow you to use it, I don’t have any issue” Mary said.
Artistes expected to perform at Mary Agyemang’s “Change Over” album launch on Sunday are Ohemaa Mercy, Mama Esther, Brother Sammy, Anita Afriyie, Don Simon and many others.
The “Changer Over” album has nine tracks.
