Gospel musician Celestine Donkoh has openly advised gospel musician Brother Sammy to take a break and re-visit his early days of doing great music to impact society and continue in that light.

Brother Sammy has been in the news for various negative reasons.

Some months ago, a video surfaced online showing musician and Prophetess, Cecilia Marfo, giving hefty slaps to Brother Sammy during a deliverance service at her Osorifie Prayer Centre.

The incident did not go down well with him and he revealed in an interview that it was a plot by gospel musicians Cecilia Marfo and Ernest Opoku to humiliate him.

He has since rained insults on both artistes which have gotten many critics and fans talking.

Some gospel musicians have come out clearly to say that Brother Sammy was wrong to have made such claims and advised that he finds a better way of handling the issues.

Speaking in an interview on “Let’s Talk Showbiz” with Doreen Avio on Joy News, “Okronkron hene” hitmaker Celestine Donkoh stated that she has declined speaking on several platforms on issues concerning Brother Sammy but believes it was time to say something.

Celestine stated that Brother Sammy’s behaviour lately shows that he has joined the class of gospel artistes who dwell on controversies to stay relevant.

She advised that he takes a break and re-visit his days of doing great music and the impact it brought to society and channel his energy to making it better.

“I want to use this opportunity to tell him to sit down and reflect on his previous songs, the impact he made and compare it to now and judge for himself whether he is not deviating or he is still on course because he is a Christian and a Pastor too” she said.

Celestine however praised Brother Sammy for his great songs which when she gets platforms, also performs to others.

“His first song I heard was “Me bo wudin” and a worship song he has, praising God. Sometimes when I am ministering worship, I am given 30 minutes and I exhaust my songs, I do his songs and it provokes an atmosphere” she said.
