Bullgod likes going to court because his house is close to one – Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale says his former manager is a litigant Shatta Wale says his former manager is a litigant

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has said that his former manager Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, aka Bullgod, loves litigation because his house is next to a law court.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with NY DJ on BTM Afrika, the Already hitmaker shed more light on a recent lawsuit filed against him by the former manager.

According to him, Bullgod was in court to enforce an out-of-court settlement agreement reached almost a year ago following the defamation lawsuit.

He revealed that the parties had agreed to an out-of-court settlement, which he (Shatta Wale) was yet to honour.

Asked why he had not honoured the agreement yet, Shatta Wale explained that Bullgodg was not available when his team wanted to make the payment. He also revealed he believes Bullgod’s attempt to revisit the law courts is premised on malice.

“There’s no different cause of action. Bullgod just wants to take his money. He wasn’t in Ghana when we wanted to make payment. You see Bullgod, if this is the house, this is the court, so he wakes up and goes to the court anytime. When a chicken clucks, he goes to court. When a taxi driver toots the horn, he goes to court because his house is just close to the court,” he said.

In the last quarter of the year 2022, Bullgod sued his former artiste for defamation.

This was after the musician threatened to expose his alleged secret regarding the death of the late artiste manager Fennec Okyere, among others.

A year later (March 2023), lawyers for the parties agreed to settle the defamation lawsuit case out of court.

The lawyer for Bullgod, Justice Srem Sai, made this known when they appeared in court on Tuesday, March 7.

However, Shatta Wale has yet to honour his promise of paying Bullgod and his lawyers an agreed legal fee of GH¢100,000.
