Family members and colleagues of the Actors’ Guild on Saturday, June 3 marked the one-week celebration of the late Charles Kofi Babatunde Bucknor.
Members of the Ghana Actors’ Guild were there in their numbers to sympathize with the relatives of late Charles Kofi Bucknor.
At the event, sympathizers, well-wishers, and his family gathered shared fond memories of the late Charles Kofi Bucknor.
The former minister for information Fritz Baffour, who relates the late Charles Kofi Bucknor, stated that the death of his nephew came as a blow to the family.
“I have known him for almost all his life, he was a very rare kind of person.
He is was a great family man and a bonus to the culture of this country because he loved this country”
“His demise comes as a big blow and a loss to the world of the arts in Ghana because he’s phenomenal” he added.
The Veteran actor, movie producer, and director Charles Kofi Bucknor passed away Monday, May 22 at the 37 Military Hospital after being ill for several months.
Mr. Bucknor will be remembered as one of Ghana’s most seasoned practitioners in the movie industry.
He has appeared in productions such as ‘Heritage Africa’, ‘Double’, ‘Run Baby Run’, and ‘Elmina’.
The burial service of the late Charles Kofi Bucknor will be held on the 30th of June at Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra.
