Charterhouse, Telecel announce TGMA Music for Good award with GH¢20k cash prize

Organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs), Charterhouse have unveiled a partnership with Telecel Ghana for the sponsorship of the 'Music for Good' award.

This accolade is dedicated to honouring musicians who have made significant contributions to social causes through their work and influence.

In a strategic move, Telecel Ghana is integrating the Green Award with the 'Music for Good' award, broadening the scope to encompass a variety of social initiatives such as youth mentorship, health, education and more.

The prestigious award will be presented during the TGMAs on June 1, 2024, with the recipient receiving a plaque and a ¢20,000 cheque to support their impactful work.

As reported by adomonline.com, the CEO of Telecel Ghana, Ing. Patricia Obo-Nai, pointed out the importance of recognising artistes who positively impact society.

“We believe musicians have the talent and power to inspire, connect, change lives and communities positively. The Music for Good category will celebrate and honour musicians who go above and beyond in using their influence for the greater good,” she said.

Theresa Ayoade, CEO of Charterhouse, echoed this sentiment, noting the shift in the music industry towards valuing artistes' social contributions.
