Chemphe’s Song, ‘Number 1’ Climbs Charts

At this age of Azonto reigns we still have pioneers spearheading the release of good masterpieces. Chemphe is one of Ghana’s most celebrated Pan-African artiste and an icon for YMCA international projects. He launched his inspirational album in Norway few months ago and is working aggressively with his record label (E-Jam Records) to release a double CD album in January.http://www.ameyawdebrah.com/

Chemphe will tour Southern Africa in November after his label mates’ (Dr Cryme) album launch on November 4th at Citizen Kofi, Accra (Video premiere and auctioning, 7pm), November 5th at Tema Kesdem Hotel (D-Cryme’s Music Concert, 4pm) and after party at Bacardis accordingly.

His musical dexterity precedes his image and has established him as one of the most successful and diverse singers in recent times. After a long trip away from home, touring other parts of the globe including South Africa, Hong Kong and Norway, raising the flag of Ghana high and championing global peace, Chemphe headed back home with a banging single which featured Dr. Cryme.

The track “Number 1” is a mid-tempo urban life and afropop love song which combines elements of hip-hop and a bit of high-life sampling. The concept of the video was developed by the CEO of E-Jam Records (Korsah-Brown) and was finally filmed by GYO of Phamous Philms which added to the dominance of the song and its current standing in the charts.

The song came in at No 6 on the Citi FM Countdown, No 3 in the Western Top 20, and No 3 at BA in just 2 Months. The song is currently rotating heavily on the airwaves IN Ghana and Abroad, and Chemphe has managed to get right back in where he left off. He has already rocked various stages including the Mario/+233 concert and others after coming back from abroad. He lauded his fans for an immense support and pledged to release classy songs with time.
