Chicago Set For Omama Movie Premiere

Historic, Impressive and Unbelievable Event

The world watched Jamie Fox won the Best Actor category at the Oscar's, termed the mother of all motion picture awards. Many felt proud of him and also it was very moving when he paid tribute to his grandmother who raised him and taught him the tricks of his profession. The writer of this article including many who were raised by their grandmothers can attest to the value lessons that our grandmothers gave when they were raising us. It is something to live for and has made all of us great people of today. We send much love to the all the grandmothers out there.

The Oscar's was hosted by the unpredictable funnyman; Chris "I need the money" Rock. During this time or any movie premiere, there was the red carpet, our favourite movie stars put on their best designer clothing. We saw fashion at a whole new level, lots of paparazzis and fans had a good time.

Now the Oscar?s is over, the city of Chicago is about to witness the first African-American movie premiere to be held in Bollingbrook, IL and also will feature Ghanaian actors/actresses from around the world. The premiere of the movie "OMAMA", a Nana King story, starring, the world renowned Kwame ?Da gal them Sugar? Owusu Ansah is set to take place on March 11th, 2005 in Bolingbrook IL. Among the special guests attending this premiere will be; The mayor of Bolingbrook, Ghana's Ambassador to the US; His Excellency Fritz Kwabena Poku The renowned and famous actor; Danny Glover, The president and executive members of the Ghana National Council in Chicago. The Line Producer; Nat Banini, Production Manager; Henry Nartey and with the help of Production Secretary; Patricia Williams, are leaving no stone unturned and making sure things are organized in a timely fashion. The Director and Writer; Nana King and the producer; Ellen Mensah are also taking care of other business in California. Actors and crew members are coming from different parts of the USA to be part of this historic event.

100 autographed copies of the DVD will be auctioned as a fund raiser to help with the noble course of the production company. Invited guests will have the privilege of seeing the movie for the first time and also be the first group of people to own copies.

Ghanaweb, Ghanamusic.com, The Ghanaian Times, The New Ghanaian, and Spectrum will have the honour of featuring this event.
