Liberian born Ghanaian actress Chichi Neblett has finally stepped a foot in Nigeria’s Nollywood.
She has, for the past month, been shooting in some locations in Nigeria and has posted photos of herself with other top Nollywood stars, including Ini Edo and Funke Akindele.
This is happening several years after Chichi longed to boost her movie career in that part of the African continent.
“They are very professional here, very time conscious and serious. That is however not to say Ghanaians are not professional,” said Chichi.
Chichi was speaking to NEWS-ONE on Wednesday when asked how she found shooting in Nollywood as compared to Ghana.
The mother of one has been in Ghana’s movie industry for the last nine years. She made it official in 2005 when she had the opportunity to feature in AA Production’s ‘Puncher Hole’.
That opened new doors as she subsequently starred in other movies.
She went off the scene in 2007 to have her baby, Harold Quartey. Two years late, she returned and has since featured in a number of movies.
She is known for her roles in Venus Film’s ‘Reason To Kill,’ ‘Mummy’s Daughter,’ ‘4play,’ ‘Who Loves Me,’ ‘Kiss My Tears,’ ‘Hot Romance,’ ‘Death After Birth’ etc.
She was in 2012 casted for Shirley Frimpong Manso’s directed TV series ‘The Peeps’ and other award winning local soap operas.
