It is no longer news that veteran actor of the Village Headmaster fame, Tunde Alabi is still recuperating in the Lagos General Hospital after a surgery that saw him losing one of his legs from complication of diabetes.

The actor who has no home of his own to return to has cried out for help and it seems his call has fell on one listening ear, another colleague, in the person of Chika Okpalla, a.k.a Chief Zebrudaya alias 4:30, of the New Masquerade fame.

According to Mr Paul Julius, a fellow thespian, who has been taking care of the ailing veteran, “Chief Chika Okpalla flew in from Enugu this morning to pay a visit to Uncle Tunde Alabi.

He came as a forerunner for an NGO that is interested in helping Tunde Alabi.

He took stock of all that will be necessary for Uncle Tunde’s rehabilitation after which he paid a courtesy visit to the Hospital social department and the Medical Director to thank them so far for the effort they have put in keeping Uncle Tunde alive.

He expressed his utmost gratitude to me who has been a pillar for Uncle Tunde and for conducting him around during the visit. He promised to return shortly after reporting back to the organisation that sent him. He’s billed to return to Enugu today November 8, 2016.”
