Choirmaster hints at Praye comeback, but on one condition

Former member of the Praye music group, Eugene Baah, popularly known as Praye Honeho or Choirmaster, has opened the door to a potential reunion with his former musical group.

Choirmaster, who made an appearance on the biggest celebrity and lifestyle show in Ghana, Celebrity Fanzone on Viasat1, was quite optimistic that there was a high possibly for a reunion but insisted that he would only do so if the “deal” was okay for him.

Responding to a question by co-host, Chantelle Asante, whether he would consider rejoining his old group, Choirmaster responded, “I am signed on to a new contract now; my album is not even released so that’s what I am focused on now. Maybe after my project…I’m sure if there is a good deal, we could do something.”

Choirmaster also added his voice to recent criticisms leveled against SP Kofi Sarpong for performing Kofi Kinaata’s “Susuka” song at a gospel rock show event. “It doesn’t sound right in my ears.

A gospel artiste performing so called secular music on a gospel stage? We have a distinction now. I will place some songs under inspirational songs but will not consider it as a gospel song,” Choirmaster stated. Eugene Baah is currently embarking on a prostate cancer project in conjunction with the Government of Ghana which is expected to kick-off next month.

Catch a repeat broadcast of Celebrity Fanzone on Wednesday at 11 am and watch it LIVE every Saturday at 9 p.m. on Viasat1.
