Christians must be smart and make money – Brother Sammy

Brother Sammy Brother Sammy

Controversial Kumasi-based Gospel musician, Brother Sammy has urged Christians to be ‘smart people’ in order to make lots of money to live good lifestyles.

In an interview with Kumasi based Abusuah FM’s entertainment show hosted by Austine Woode last Saturday, he was quoted as saying: “in today’s world, it takes smart people to succeed in life”.

“If you are not sensible you can’t break through. You can pray to fill a whole house yet if you are not able to use your brain effectively you can’t make it”. He observed.

Brother Sammy’s statement came as a response to criticisms that his new song which urges “Christians to be smart to make it in life” is ungodly.

Entertainment analyst, Eddy Ray has said the music can’t be categorized as Gospel.

In his new song which is a cover of one of Slim Buster’s music which featured Tinny, he claims the track is an instrument to advise people; yet it turned to be insulting, critics have said.

Some lines in the song have “Nipa Fo” to wit useless people but he claims it is only ugly people who go around saying horrible things about people whiles people with rotten tooth destroy others.

He failed to explain who the lyrics are targeted at but said those who disagree with him should ask Captain Smart of Adom Fm for an explanation of the lyrics in the song.
