Citi 97.3 FM presenter and former beauty pageant contestant Caroline Sampson has given birth to a bouncing baby boy.
Not long after she had successfully given birth to her first in 27 years, the skinny-sized model/presenter logged onto social networking site Facebook to make an official announcement.
“It was written a long time ago and today it has come to pass. I have been blessed with a baby boy. First day of the month of love, to God be the glory,” she posted.
Minutes later, her viral declaration was met with volumes of congratulatory messages and comments. While some of her friends were shocked to learn she had given birth at a time when they didn’t see any sign prior to the announcement, others, who had afore knowledge simply could not hide how elated they were.
The Stars Integration of Culture of Africa (SICA) award winner is said to have given birth in the early hours of Tuesday morning at a hospital in Tema. Her residence has since been flooded with loads of people wanting to have a peek at the baby boy.
On television, she is well remembered for her appearances in TVC’s for Menthos, Men’s Only, Gino Tomato paste, and Kasapa.
An incredibly gifted talent she is, Caroline is into music and has featured on various EP’s of local acts including Tema-based tongue-twisting rapper Giminy, Asem (Pigaro), 4X4 (Hot Girls -- Remix), Mimi (Leave Me Alone – Remix). She started radio in November 2006 with Accra-based Atlantis.
She has also hosted the “You Win Game” and Hitz Video (Alongside Wolfhard Anim) television shows. She is the host of CITI FM’s Room 973 and disc-jockeys some of the station’s music programmes on weekdays.
The only child of her mother, Caroline was born on August 2, 1984 in Tema. She attended the Creator JHS and Mfantsiman Senior High School at Saltpond as well as the African University College of Communication.
