Claudia Lumor unveiled as UNFPA’s Honorary Goodwill Ambassador for Ghana

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) unveiled Mrs. Claudia Lumor, the Editor-in-Chief of the Glitz Africa Magazine as its Honorary Goodwill Ambassador for Ghana on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

Claudia Lumor is the Publisher & Founder/CEO OF GLITZ AFRICA as well as Ghana Tourism Ambassador for Fashion Development.

Glitz Africa Magazine is a Pan-African aspirational brand that embraces Africa's biggest successes and celebrities who are relevant to readers, current celebrity lifestyle, fashion, entertainment, wellness and living trends of the new African global citizen. Glitz Africa has expanded its brand into various extensions.

These include Glitz Africa Fashion Week, Glitz Style Awards, Ghana Women of the year Honours, SHE boss, She Summit and Glitz Africa Care Foundation; a foundation created to focus on maternal health/Childcare issues/advocacy.

Claudia Lumor was awarded the Startup entrepreneur of the year 2017 and been honored on various platforms including The Most Influential Young Ghanaians and 100 most influential women in Ghana.

Claudia was also awarded the British Council Fashion & Design Young creative entrepreneur of the year 2015 and was also honored as one of The most powerful players in African Fashion in a UK publication to mention a few.

She has been celebrated in various platforms for her innovation and commitment to fashion development in Ghana and in the sub-region.

Claudia is very passionate about advocating for maternal health and childcare issues. She has worked closely with the UNFPA to visit women suffering from the Obstetric Fistula condition as well as make donations and organize vaccination sessions.

In her speech, Claudia pledged her unwavering support and commitment to the goals of the UNFPA to help create a world safe and sound for every woman and young person.

When asked about what this unveiling meant to her, Claudia noted, “I’m very humbled. It is my dream to help in whichever way to create awareness for the need of quality maternal healthcare and this honour affords me the opportunity.”

Claudia is married with three kids.
