Close-Up Salsa finals tonight

The grand finale of the Close Up Freshness Dance Revolution takes place tonight at the Independence Square in Accra at 8:00pm prompt and admission is free.

The finale comes off with a firm promise to present salsa dance lovers with the biggest gathering and a once-in-a lifetime chance to experience spectacular salsa performances by all the participants and Hiplife artistes; as Sarkodie and Edem would grace the event as guest artistes.

The Close-Up Freshness Dance Revolution finals promise to live up to the hype as the participants have been preparing for weeks to win attractive prizes for participating including GH¢30,000 winning prize.

Close Up has been doing the Salsa fiesta for a number of years now, but this year’s event dubbed the Freshness Dance Revolution has indeed lived up to its name- a revolution.

It has introduced the newest dance on the block; easy-to-learn salsa moves fused with local contemporary dances and has taken this dance known as the Close-Up Salsa Fusion Dance on tour to Takoradi, Kumasi and now Accra.

Given its fusion with our popular Ghanaian dances like Azonto, Alkaida, highlife, among many others, the dance has become easily accessible to many more people.

The new addition of various local dances to salsa has added so much excitement to salsa dancing and for the first time, Ghanaians can feel a heavy local influence in a dance that has for long been referred to as foreign.

Don’t forget to tune to TV series running on Viasat 1 on Fridays at 8:00pm and GH-One TV on Sundays at 5:30pm.
