Coca-Cola Injects Gh?25,000 in Ohum Festival

Drink giants, the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited (TCCBCGL) has injected GH?25,000 into the Ohum Festival celebrated yearly by the people of Manfe in the Eastern Region.

Company officials say the amount was a total sum of appreciable quantity of assorted Coca-Cola products (Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr), T-shirts and other souvenirs.

The items were presented at a short ceremony over the weekend at the palace of the Queen mother of Manfe, Nana Ama Ansa Sasraku to the traditional council.

Officials said the donation was the company's commitment to be part of the celebration of Ohum Festival with the people of Manfe.

Mr. Ike Cudjoe, Public Affairs and Communications Manager of TCCBCGL said "the gesture to be part of the Ohum Festival was a sign of Coca-Cola's respect for the traditions and cultural values of the people of Manfe and the people of Akuapem in general."

Nana Ama Ansa Sasraku, Queen mother of Manfe received the items on behalf of the Manfe Traditional Council.

She said "the celebration of the Manfe Ohum Festival is just like the Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr concept since it brings out the inner expressions of the people of Manfe and our appreciation of our ancestral bankground."

Coca-Cola and the Manfe Traditional Council are on a date to deepen the Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr feeling during the Manfe Ohum Festival which begins today.
