Gospel musician-cum-Police officer, Superintendent Kofi Sarpong, has revealed he would not hesitate to pause a live performance, drop his microphone and arrest anyone he finds to have committed a crime.
Stating the extent he can go to protect his professional integrity and the state, SP Kofi Sarpong noted he is duty bound 24/7 to ensure law and order irrespective of wherever he may be, noting insofar as he sees anyone commit a crime, he would arrest the person.
“As we sit in this room if I see you committing any offense, I will arrest you. I will go to the extent of dropping the microphone even when I’m performing on stage to arrest any person who commits offence” SP Kofi Sarpong said.
He said this in Accra at the launch of SP Kofi Sarpong Live Concert, which is put together by Media Excel Production, a record label he has been working with over the years.
The maiden edition of the Live Concert which will be an annual event is slated for May 28, 2017 at the National Theater in Accra. With this his SP Kofi Sarpong Live Concert, the musician aims to raise funds to support some 5000 underprivileged across the country.
He intends to register those on the National Health Insurance Scheme.
