Coronavirus has made me lose huge sums of money – Fameye

Talented Ghanaian musician, Peter Famiyeh Bozah, known by the stage name Fameye, in an interview with Sammy Kay on the Go online show has revealed the reason for his absence at the University of Education, Mampong campus, and subsequently his apology rendered to the students humbly.

The “Nothing I get” hitmaker explained that he had a show at the University for Development Studies, Tamale, a day before his show at the Mampong campus, University of Education.

He said the flight he boards from Tamale delayed for almost 3 hours and had a scary moment when the pilot announced to the passengers on board, there was a fuel shortage as the flight was still in the air.

Based on that, he called the organiser of the show at the Mampong campus to call off his appearance on the day, so he could refund the money paid to him or to either postponed the show to a later date because of the scare of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic also.

But for the respect he had for his fans and students at Mampong he thought it wise to later go to the campus to render an unqualified apology by kneeling down to the fans who were anxiously waiting for him on that night. A gesture which has won the heart of many Ghanaians.

During the interview, he stated the havoc the deadly virus has caused him but that notwithstanding he said he is now a father of a baby boy who he claims has brought many blessings to him and expressed his intention of getting married soon to his baby mama.

When asked about his expectations of the VGMA, He stated he is looking forward to win most of the categories he has been nominated for in this year, but expressed that his expectation of winning the new artiste of the year.

He entreated Ghanaians to stay safe during this period of the coronavirus pandemic and asked Ghanaians to stream his new song titled ‘long life’ featuring Kwesi Arthur.
