Coz Ov Moni 2

The infamous duo of M3nsa and Wanlov Kubolor known collectively as FOKN Bois premiered the second installment of the ‘Cos Ov Moni’ film series to raving reviews at National Theater recently.

The premiere attracted people from all walks of life, and especially lovers of alternative music and art. Patrons could hardly contain themselves as they laughed to their hearts content at the funny scenes and dialogue. The film musical is only the second of its kind in Ghana's film history.

‘Cos Ov Moni 2’ continued the story from where it left off in part one and this time the FOKN duo were out for revenge for the mugging and severe beating they received at the hands of a group of thugs (Kwashey boys). The journey of revenge and their escapades on the way tickled patrons to no end and they could only clap profusely when the film ended.

The only downsides to ‘Cos Ov Moni 2’ were the sight of M3nsah and Wanlov’s man parts and the unnecessary pot shot to their arch-nemesis, Blakk Rasta. As we’ve come to expect, FOKN Bois thrive on generating controversy.

The film was shot in both Ghana and Romania. The technical aspects of this film were a bit of an upgrade on the first part.

Cinematography was top notch and the soundtracks were better arranged and mixed. The movie features stars like Efya, Gyedu Blay-Ambolley, Reggie Rockstone, Macho Rapper and a host of others.

Perhaps due to the fact that Nadia Buari was also premiering her new film at the conference center around the same time, the National Theatre could not be filled to capacity but patrons were satisfied as it fulfilled their expectations and even more.

Sasu Mensah, one of the patrons interviewed at the premiere lauded the duo for a good work done and praised M3nsah and Wanlov's creativity.

"The movie for me was worth my time and money and I would watch it again. It was even better than I expected and I have no regrets at all,” he said.
