In his sure top clean pride this noon, Cruked Route pushed a loud bold statement on his facebook page timeline perhaps to emphasize his longterm career vision. The post which reads “I vow to be Ghana’s most adorable Reggae-Hip Hop artiste” sounded more sacred; it might have come straight from the grand depth of his heart.
For a yet-less-known Reggae-Hip Hop head to come out this loud in public, many who haven’t heard his songs yet will question his hopes, but considering Cruked’s brand build and the many bright prospects he is open to any grand music business pundit will testify that Cruked Route is not even an inch far from his vow. He can achieve it in a long term vision span, discipline and focus unmarred.
Opposite to the mainstream cliché hip hop content, Cruked revolves his music around higher soul-awakening invocations and he flies his listener’s wild imaginations through a series of spiritual planes to get them thinking beyond the physical normal. With a hybrid brand that carries a marriage of pure reggae and hip hop elements in their truest forms, Cruked Route stands out as a rare innovative revolutionary lyricist when mixed among other rappers.
The sudden release of his 6 track “Wild Thoughts EP” in December last year made Cruked Route a double-playlist entry for reggae and hip hop radio DJs worldwide as the reggae riddims he chose for his songs blended just fine with his rap spits. His singles “Awake”, “Ehiende”, “Stained Paradise”, “Dark High” and “Still Moving” [his pseudo-collaboration with Jamaica’s Buju Banton] helped him gather a good size of first generation fans across the world.
Prior to his one Accra venue exposure concert which is yet to be dated, Cruked Route has scheduled a massive radio interview run in Ghana and other countries --- starting this August, with over 50 radio stations on his tour list. His radio station list spans Europe, America and Africa and Asia.
