Newly elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, John Dumelo has advised his friend Jon Benjamin to cut what he described as expensive jokes.

The Former British High Commissioner to Ghana has gained notoriety in trolling the renowned actor who admits that some of them are expensive and advised him to cut them.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Abusua Fm monitored by MyNewsGh.com, he revealed that he was least bothered about the trolls from the tweet addict but is however not happy with some of the contents of his tweets.

“Jon Benjamin is my friend and his tweets about me are jokes. Though am not bothered but I have told him to cut such jokes because they are too expensive”, he revealed.

He added “He is my friend. Anytime I go to London, we meet and have a lot of discussion about Ghana and world at large”, the actor cum politician revealed in the interview.

It would be recalled that the actor last Saturday cleared the first hurdle of his dream to become a member of Ghana’s legislature.

He annexed the mandate to represent the Ayawaso West Wougon Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2020 elections.

Dumelo garnered 758 votes to beat Madam Suzzy Afua Adoboe after counting was completed with the loser getting 99 votes out of the 859 votes cast of which two ballots rejected.
