Chief Executive Officer of Black Avenue Music, Livewire Events and recently established Black Avenue Sports, Desmond Blackmore otherwise known as D-Black has pushed back the release date for his third studio album, The Grey Area.

Although the Best International Act Africa, BET Award nominee and multiple Ghana Music Award winner had earlier announced the album would be released on his birthday January 12 2016, D Black in an interview with NY DJ on Y102.5FM disclosed unforeseen circumstances caused the delay and has asked fans to hold on till March 2016.

“I wanted to release my album on my birthday, January 12 2016 but it looks like we have to change the date because I have not been able to complete it yet. I’m 90% done though . I want to take my time and complete. This is because I have not released an album in three (3) years. I want it to be perfect so I’m begging my fans for another 2 more months.”

The 16 track album, The Grey Area which drops in the first week of March 2016 features an A list of African artists including M.I. Abaga, South African rap artist Cassper Nyovest, Davido, Seyi Shay, Stonebwoy, VVIP, Bucie, Pappy Kojo and many others.

D Black broke into the Ghanaian music scene in 2008 with a joint album with former partner Kweku T, titled Target Practice.

D-Black turned solo in 2010 with Music, Love and Life. The album was followed by Revelation in December 2012.
