D3 could come back - Mzvee

Whilst some music groups are splitting, others are hoping to come back, all things being equal. That hope, is what former member of female music trio D3, Mzvee, has told Razz Newspaper.

The sultry musician, who has a number of dancehall songs to her credit, is misconstrued as a bad girl; considering how she dresses on stage sometimes, but in her opinion, she’s bad in a good way - an oxymoron she alone understands.

“Yes! Some people perceive that female musicians who dress hot on stage and have very strong stage composure might be bad, but all I can say is that, I am bad in a good way. I am not bad in a bad way” she said.

Talking about the Ghana meets Naija, after putting up an outstanding performance, she revealed that Ghana meets Naija is a very good initiative and urged that every Ghanaian and Nigerian must embrace, because, it strengthens the relationship between Ghana and Nigeria.

Mzvee who was a member of former female music trio, D3, which was made up of Esbee, Adellynx and herself, said that her ‘secret’ in becoming Ghana’s current most promising female artiste, is her management team and the fact that she’s also always ready to learn and improve on any performance she gets.

Mzvee’s new single, “Borkor Borkor” which featured Zeal of VVIP fame is enjoying massive airplay. Talking about her former group D3, she said that she’s hoping for a future come back of the group, since the group went hidden due to individual busy schedules.

“There could be a comeback of the D3 group. Then, we had lots of big plans of becoming Africa’s version of Spice Girls or Destiny’s Child but all the big dreams were defeated due to individual busy schedules, like travelling, schooling, etc. so if in future there’s a need for comeback why not” she said.

Mzvee, real name, Vida Hamenoo-Kpeba, is currently, under the management of Lynx Entertainment, which according to her “are the main brain behind my success.”
