Ghana’s indefatigable DJ and one of Africa’s best, DJ Black of Joy FM, will perform at this year’s Ghana DJ Awards at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday, February 21.
DJ Black, who is expected to thrill music fans as well as stakeholders in the music industry, would perform alongside DJ Kofi from UK.
DJ Black, who has made a lot of impact on radio, paving the way for him to be counted among the best in Ghana and Africa, has swept prestigious awards such as Rothmans 2001 West African DJ Champion, 2009 Red Carpet Independent Artiste and DJ Award Winner, NET 2010 NO 2 Top African Radio DJ and 2011 RTV Radio DJ of the Year.
This year’s Ghana DJ Awards would feature a number of international DJs and it is expected to attract Ghana’s top musicians, stakeholders in the music and copyright sectors and a cross-section of music lovers.
The event, according to the organisers, would also witness live stage performances from some selected DJs, hiplife and dancehall music icons.
Merqury Quaye, chief executive officer of Merqury Republic Events and the coordinator for the awards, has promised Ghanaian music fans that this year’s edition would be a unique experience for fans.
The Ghana DJ Awards is an annual event that is aimed at promoting and rewarding the best achieving Ghanaian radio, night club and ‘recognised’ mobile DJs.
