Popular Tamale based radio personality Mohammed Abubakari Naporo also known as DJ Parara, has been accused by organisers of the Ghana-USA Peace Concert which was scheduled to hold at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Saturday July 28, 2018.

Speaking to Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture And Urban Entertainment – www.nydjlive.com, Managing Director of Marwus Entertainment LLC USA, Monalisa Semaha, organisers of the concert narrated how DJ Parara allegedly ‘duped’ her organisation and later sabotaged her concert; an event he (DJ Parara) had been paid to host.

“One famous DJ in the North called Parara took sums of money from us to help promote the Ghana-USA Peace Concert but ended up doing nothing. He spent the monies and asked for more which we refused. He since refused to promote the show and started sabotaging the show telling the artists not to perform because he was no more part of the show,” she said.

Mona also accused Macassio’s manager of threatening to send a ‘gang’ after her for persisting they refunded monies paid them for the artist’s performance which never materialised.

“Macassio took more than half of his charge and took advantage of my event to do a collaboration with Patapa had been billed for the concert. He used the opportunity to hype himself but did not show up the event date. I called his manager known as “DOT” for a refund only to be threatened that he wouldn’t the return the money and would have his boys beat me up if I don’t stop calling him.

The event partners from the United Nations later reached out to Macassio and his manager who revealed DJ Parara asked them not to show up for their performance because it was going to rain heavily at the event grounds,” Mona said.

Responding to reports that there were less than 50 attendees at the concert, Mona revealed over 1800 tickets were sold in advance but couldn’t come off due to the heavy downpour at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on the scheduled day.

“We had to reschedule the event to the following day and sold 200 tickets at the gate before the rains came down heavily again. The people present as at that time understood the situation and drove off on their motorbikes, ” she said.

Attempts by Ghana’s Hub For Pop Culture And Urban Entertainment – www.nydjlive.com to reach DJ Parara for his side of events has since proven futile as he is yet to respond to our calls.
