Daddy Lumba jabs pastors

Daddy Lumba is talking so everybody should clear his ears and listen to him. The highlife musician is accusing some Ghanaians pastors asking their church members not to buy his gospel songs because he is a secular artiste.

Highlife heavyweight Charles Kwadwo Fosu accused some men of God in the country of their resolve to bring his gospel music career down.

According to Daddy Lumba, these pastors who have vowed to ensure he does not succeed with his gospel career deliberately incite their church members to desist from buying his gospel albums.

The ace highlife singer, who did not mention names of his accusers, is of the view that, these pastors do not see him righteous enough to sing the glory of God.

Charles Kwadwo Fosu made this disclosure to our reporter at the Mirklin hotel in Kumasi when he met the press in Kumasi sometimes ago.

But Daddy Lumba who sounded unperturbed stated that no one could bring him down , and he would continue to praise his marker through music , adding that I would always sing to glorify my God and no one can take the gift from me.

Daddy Lumba, who disclosed that, he would be in no rush to produce a full gospel album, said he would rather add gospel song to any highlife album he produces.

Checks by the popular newspaper have revealed that, the experienced musician has been adding gospel piece to albums he has produced in recent times.

Daddy Lumba in the mid – nineties released a gospel album ‘mesom Jesus’ which became an instant hit.

Christians in the country were inspired by the album and the Mesom Jesus gospel album still reigns as one of the all time hit gospel album. But some of the men of God had their hopes shattered when Kwadwo Fosu went to the world, and rather produced yet another profane hit album Aben wo ha, he had since fallen out some religious leaders in the country.
