Daddy Lumba meets Kojo Antwi, Samini at ‘African Legends Night’

Daddy Lumba will perform at this year’s edition of ‘Africa Legends Night’ slated for Saturday, September 29 at the plush Kempinski Hotel in Accra.

The show, according to the organisers, will start at 7:00pm prompt, and it is expected to attract thousands of music lovers from all walks of life.

Daddy Lumba is expected to perform with Kojo Antwi and dancehall artiste Samini.

Daddy Lumba would definitely treat Ghanaian music lovers to authentic highlife music, as he promised a memorable night with his much-loved tunes.

Samini has promised to be at his usual best.

In the history of the ‘African Legends Night’, Samini will be the first reggae and dancehall artiste to perform on stage.

He will perform some of his great tunes such as ‘Odo’, ‘Linda’, ‘Gyae Shee’, ‘My Own’, among others.

With an exciting and successful musical career spanning over two decades, Kojo Antwi, who has established himself as one of the celebrated highlife legends, is also expected to thrill fans with songs such as ‘Mmrika’, ‘Adienpena’, ‘Tom & Jerry’, ‘Adinkra’, among others.

Destined to be a night full of glamour, this year’s edition will also feature some other upcoming musicians, who will also perform with the three top seasoned musicians.

Last year, the show witnessed great performances from Kanda Bongo Man of DR Congo, Amakye Dede, Daddy Lumba, Aka Blay, eShun and Nana Yaa.

Past editions have featured Ivorian Freddy Meiway, South Africa’s Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Hugh Masekela, Nigeria’s Femi Kuti, George Darko, Amakye Dede, Ben Brako, Ghanaian ace saxophonist Steve Bedi and many others.
