Born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, Daddy Lumba as he is known in the showbiz industry was a dominant force in the highlife industry two decades ago.

The singer was born on 29 September 1964 in Nsuta, a suburb of the Ashanti Region of Ghana He produced many hit songs with the first of them being his hit song with fellow highlife sensation, Nana Acheampong titled "Yeeye Aka Akwantuo Mu".

The 1999 “Wo Ho Kyere” song maker has been married twice. He had four children with his first wife, Maame Akosua and three children with second wife, Maame Broni. In all the 52 year old family man has seven children.

His last three children have been captured in an amazing photo. The children were clad in African-designed costumes.

The artiste formed a highlife team with Nana Acheampong and they were known as the “Lumba Brothers”.

He rose to popularity again in recent times with his hit song, “Yentie Obiaa” which was played on many occasions. The song even got some endorsement from former President John Dramani Mahama when he danced to the tune.

In 1999, Daddy Lumba won three awards including Best Album, Artist of the Year and the Most popular Song of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards with his hit song, “Wo Ho Kyere” The 52-year old musician is based in Cologne, Germany.
