Dear GhanaWeb: Can a prostitute be faithful in her marriage?

I started working as a prostitute in 2016 after my siblings and I lost our parents in a car accident. Following the funeral, our family abandoned us, and providing even a single meal a day became a challenge.

Two of my siblings were in senior high school, and the other had completed junior high school and was awaiting placement. As the eldest of five siblings, I felt the weight of responsibility on my shoulders and knew I had to find a lucrative job. It was during a stroll along the street that I met a woman.

She stopped her car, and during our conversation, she couldn't help but admire my beauty. She inquired about what I was doing, and I shared my situation with her. She offered to introduce me to a business that could change my life, and I was excited to hear that.

The following week, I met with her, and she explained the job she was offering. Despite my initial hesitation, I accepted the job and have been in the business for eight years now, living comfortably and providing for my siblings.

Recently, my boss informed me that someone had paid a substantial amount of money for me to be his companion for the night.

I met this man, and as I was about to begin my duties, he stopped me from undressing and expressed his desire to discuss a different matter. We spent six hours at the hotel talking about marriage.

He revealed that he had been observing me for months because he was fond of me and wanted me to be his wife.

He pledged to take care of me and my siblings if I agreed to marry him. We have met several times since then, and I have developed feelings for him.

Honestly, Mike would make a good husband to me, but I am concerned that I may not be a faithful wife to him. I am afraid that I might revert to my previous lifestyle once we are married.

What should I do?
