Dear GhanaWeb: How do I pay my best friend back for sleeping with my girlfriend?

File photo File photo

Frank was more than a best friend to me. We confided in each other, and he kept my secrets just as I kept his. We were so close that I thought God had brought us together, and no one could ever come between us.

However, he did something that I should have seen as a red flag, but I ignored it.

He cheated on his fiancée, who caught him with the side chick's underwear at his place. He lied to his fiancée, telling her that the underwear belonged to me.

She came to investigate and ask questions, but I covered for my friend, saying that I was the one who had cheated on my girlfriend.

However, Frank's girlfriend had left the underwear at my place, and unfortunately, my girlfriend paid me an unexpected visit and found it.

I explained the situation, but she refused to believe me. She even went to ask my best friend if the underwear belonged to him, but Frank denied the allegations. His lies almost cost me my girlfriend, but I forgave him when he apologized.

I always travel for a business summit in the first week of every month and leave a spare key with my friend in case I misplace mine. This month's summit was cut short, so I returned home on the third day.

As I opened my door, I heard two people moaning. I suspected it was my friend, so I sat in the hall, waiting for him to come out. The lady he was having an affair with was the first to come downstairs.

From a distance, she looked like my girlfriend, but as she drew closer, I realized it was indeed my girlfriend.

She screamed, and that brought my best friend downstairs. I just smiled, hiding my anger, and implored them not to say a word but to leave my premises.

I do not plan to have an encounter with him again. He took me for a fool, and he must pay for it!

What is the best cold meal I can serve this betrayer as revenge?
