Dear GhanaWeb: I invested my husband’s money in a man who now wants nothing to do with me

Dear GhanaWeb,

The man I’m married to suffered a serious illness after an accident and was told his days on earth were numbered. The accident took a toll on him. He became a distant husband and didn't want me to help him or get close to him.

I experienced that silent treatment for four years, and due to the loneliness and sexual deprivation, I met a man who provided me with the pleasures I was being deprived of.

I loved my husband despite his vile attitude, but that love began to fade away because I had fallen for the man I was cheating on him with. There came a time when I even forgot I was a married woman.

My love for this guy became so strong that I foolishly started feeding him with my husband’s money. I gave him GHC150,000 from my husband’s account to help him start a venture.

The day I wired the money into his account was the last time I set eyes on him. I call, and he always gives me the “I’m busy” excuse.

My husband called me and broke the good news that he had met a doctor who could cure him. He has the money the doctor is asking for, so I should go to his various banks and get it.

Dear GhanaWeb, I have invested half of that money in my lover’s business, and I do not know how to raise that amount of money in the shortest time for my husband’s treatment.

The situation steals my sleep every night, and no solution comes from my thinking. The guy has also stopped picking up my calls.

How do I solve this?
