Dear GhanaWeb: Is it possible to be in a romantic relationship with your stepsister?

Dear GhanaWeb,

My father and my stepmother both entered into their marriage with kids about 15 years ago. The relationship between my stepsister and me wasn’t cosy.

I never wanted my father to remarry after his divorce from my mother, but no matter how hard I frowned upon his new relationship, he was the man of the house and could do as he pleased.

As I mentioned earlier, my stepsister and I started on the wrong foot, but we got to understand and like each other over time.

We enrolled in the same SHS together as well as the same university. We became inseparable, like how Bob Marley couldn’t do away with his weed.

We have grown fond of each other and have both talked about our feelings. From the conversation we’ve had earlier, it is clear that genuine emotions exist between us and we both can’t deny that feeling.

We have kissed and cuddled but haven’t had sex yet. She has initiated the move several times, which I have declined because I do not know if we are on the right path.

Although we are not from the same blood van, we are practically siblings because of the existing relationship between my father and her mother.

We love each other but do not know if it's right to start a romantic relationship.

A brother needs help, please.
