Denrele Edun to host Miss Nigeria-Ghana 2017

Miss Nigeria-Ghana beauty pageant is on the 10th of November, at the main auditorium of the National Theatre, Accra; with thirty-six states plus one FCT ladies prepared to battle for the 2017 crown.

The pageant is designed for young Nigerian ladies who are over eighteen years and Ghanaians of half Nigerian parentage.

It's aimed at organizing these young beauties towards a new order of projecting and defining Nigeria’s diverse socio-cultural heritage to the people of Ghana, thereby fostering a more cordial relationship among Nigerians and Ghanaians via the platform of general entertainment and business promotion that the pageant presents.

In a release sent to us, organizers are happy to inform the general public which includes patrons, sponsors and fans alike, that the host for the night would be Nigerian entertainment personality, Adenrele Oluwafemi Edun aka Denrele; who is known for his – punk & fun – with an expression fashion style and personality.

He is a household brand who has won over sixteen (16) awards out of the over thirty (30) nominations in his career. He has previously worked with SoundCity before he was forced out and he moved on to become one of Channel O's VJs.

As part of his fun-spree-life, he was formerly backup dancers for LexyDoo, Ruggedman, Jazzman Olofin, 2Shotz, Lady Di and also “Stage Shakers”.

Denrele has interviewed the likes of Akon, Beyoncé Knowles, Tyler Perry, Lil' Kim, Snoop Lion, Cuba Gooding, Amerie, and Lloyd, among others.

His accolades are numerous with awards including; The Best TV Personality at the NEAs in New York 2011, Dynamix Award for Best Youth TV Personality 2006/2007/2008, The Future Award for Best Producer 2007, among others.

The 2017 winner gets a brand-new car, and over GhC30,000 worth of prizes to be shared among the finalists.

Also, the winner of the pageant would embark on a one-year community engagement service, in a show of appreciation and a way of giving back to a very accommodating host nation, Ghana.

The event has the endorsement of the Nigeria High Commission in Ghana.
