There appear to be more questions begging for answers surrounding circumstances that culminated into the death of Dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns.
Whereas father and biggest fan of Ebony Reigns, Nana Opoku Kwarteng claims he was only informed about her trip to Sunyani at about 10 Pm on Thursday night, an account from the police reveal she was involved in the ghastly accident one and half hours later.
Nana Opoku Kwarteng in an interview of Joy Fm said:” She left home on Thursday saying she was going to see her mum. The Mum just returned from the United Kingdom and she said she was going to see her. I asked if she was driving herself because it was late. She told me she was going with her driver, her bodyguard who was a soldier and a friend. It was around 10 Pm”, he revealed.
His account, however, appears to be a sharp contrast with that of her mother, Beatrice Oppong Marthin who spent the whole Thursday with her at Sunyani where a video revealing the clothes she died with was taken.
From the Dads statements, it is obvious Ebony’s trip to Sunyani was not planned. He says he just had a call from her around 10 pm of Thursday 8th February, that she was going to Sunyani to visit Mum and he asked if she was driving herself because really was scared for her.
The lingering questions are that, was it a return trip from Accra to Sunyani with one driver?
When they left Accra at 10 pm Thursday night what time did they get to Sunyani?
When Ebony and her family were recording the last video at her mum’s house which was in the daytime there was no sight of their car (Jeep), the driver and the so-called bodyguard raising more questions.
